VPN
For organisations looking to share simple files and small packages of data across sites we can implement a cost effective VPN (Virtual Private Network) that will allow both home users and multiple sites to share information.
Although a VPN solution is cost effective and easy to install, performance levels are limited and for organisations looking to share software across sites we would recommend an alternative solution.
Terminal Services and Citrix
A Terminal Services or Citrix based solution (using Citrix Presentation Server) will allow you to base applications centrally that can then be accessed and utilised remotely at a speed comparable to being connected via a conventional LAN (local area network).
Access software applications securely
From an end-user perspective, with Terminal Services and Citrix Presentation Server users can access their organisation’s network from, for example, a customer’s office, see all of the applications they would see everyday at work, including Outlook email and any internal applications, and access them in a secure environment.
Excellent performance
To the user, the application would appear as if it was installed and running on their computer (seamless desktop integration), whereas in reality, the application is running on the Citrix Presentation to Terminal Server based at their central office.
Co-location
For those organisations requiring the sharing of data across multiple sites and whom also have high demand on central applications (CRM databases, accounting software etc), a cost effective option could be Co-location, with central servers stored off-site in a data centre.
Servers managed off-site
Co-location is particularly suitable where you want to maintain complete control of your hardware and applications without the challenges associated with maintaining your own servers on-site. By locating your servers off-site in a highly secure, controlled and continuously monitored environment, you are able to maintain a rigorous disaster recovery strategy. You're also better able to simplify the provision of network links to regional offices and remote users.
